Craig’s Way is a beautiful walking trail that winds through the forest at Treetop Haven. During your walk, you will see some huge trees and, if you’re lucky, some of the animals and birds that call this wood their home.
No need to worry – our largest animal on Prince Edward Island is the coyote and they are very shy animals. You may see some foxes or rabbits, and probably some squirrels. Along your walk, you may also spot some of the birds that the TreePODS are named after.
The trail takes about 30 to 40 minutes to complete. It is open year-round and snowshoes are available free of charge during the winter months for trekking the trail.

Craig’s Way is named in honour of Sheila’s brother. They grew up playing in the woods and climbing trees. Craig loved the woods and for years he told the story of the evening that he saw an owl in the woods. Craig passed away in October 2011. He had a rare and chronic form of Leukemia. His daughter, Bella, has planted a tree in his memory, so he can live on and enjoy the woods with us.
We hope you enjoy the trail as much as we do!
