Craig’s Way is a beautiful walking trail that goes throughout the woods. During your walk, you will see some huge trees, as well as you may see some of the animals and birds that call this wood their home. No need to worry – our largest animal on Prince Edward Island is a coyote and they are very shy animals. You may see some foxes or rabbits, and probably some squirrels. Along the way hopefully you will see some of the birds that the TreePODS are named after.
The trail takes about 30 to 40 minutes to walk. It is open year round. In the winter, snowshoes will be available free of charge.
Craig’s Way is named in honor of Sheila’s brother. They grew up playing in the woods and climbing trees. Craig loved the woods and talked for years about the evening in the woods that he seen an owl. Craig passed away in October 2011. He had a rare and chronic form of Lukemia. His daughter, Bella will be planting a tree in his memory, so he will be living on and enjoying the woods with us.
We hope you enjoy the trail as much as we do!
